23XI Racing President Steve Lauletta has opened up about the team's plans for the next five years, which include winning more NASCAR races and championships.
Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan's team is currently in their sixth season of NASCAR competition, and it's fair to say things have gone pretty well for 23XI so far.
Starting as a single-car operation in the 2021 season, the team now holds three full-time charters in the Cup Series, and they have also tasted plenty of success, too. Tyler Reddick picked up the regular season championship in 2024, won the Daytona 500 earlier this year, and until last weekend, led the 2026 Cup Series standings with five wins under his belt.
Lauletta admits that some of those achievements have come ahead of schedule, but is adamant that more wins and championships are on the horizon if the team is going to get where they want to be as a brand.

23XI Racing President on team's future NASCAR plans
“I said after the first five years ended that for me personally, I can only talk about myself, and I've had conversations with Michael and Denny about it, like, I think we were a little bit ahead of our goal, or right on it,” Lauletta told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
“We wanted to be a consistent potential race-winning team and to battle for championships as an organization. We put Tyler [Reddick] in the final four in 2024, so I think we were pretty right on or a little bit ahead, and now we enter the next five years.
“I feel like we're right where we need to be as far as taking that next step, you know, the five race wins, leading the points from the beginning … the things that we're doing off the race track as a brand in terms of trying to grow who 23XI is and our reach.
“And you know, the sport in general, what we did at the end of last year with the lawsuit, or as I call it, the off-track project that we had. All of those things have added up to us as 23XI, I think, becoming more recognisable on and off the track.
“We just need to keep that going for this next five years,” Lauletta concluded. “But in that five years, in order to be the brand we want to be, it is going to be more wins, it is going to be battling for championships, and so far this year, I feel like we're in a really good spot.”
