After a long absence, NASCAR is set to hit Chicagoland Speedway this weekend, with both the Cup and O'Reilly Auto Parts Series in action.

On Sunday, the Cup Series stars will compete 267 laps at the 1.5-mile track located in Joliet, Illinois, with the victor set to become the first Cup driver to win a race at the track since 2019.

Prior to its removal from the schedule, the NASCAR Cup Series raced at Chicagoland between 2001 and 2019, with 13 different drivers to have won a race there altogether, from Kevin Harvick through to Alex Bowman.

It's Tony Stewart who has so far been the most successful Cup Series driver at Chicagoland, though, with three victories in 2004, 2007 and 2011.

In second, multiple drivers are tied, with Harvick, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. having all tasted victory at the 1.5-mile track twice.

Behind those, another bunch of stars are tied in sixth, with Ryan Newman, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, David Reutimann, Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin and Bowman having all won once at Chicagoland previously.

We certainly can't wait to see who comes out on top this time around, and whether a new Cup Series star can add their name to that list.
