23XI Racing's ownership has issued statements after the team reached a settlement with NASCAR to end its ongoing antitrust lawsuit against the series.
Co-owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin, among others, 23XI - along with Front Row Motorsports - decided to sue NASCAR in October 2024, alleging anticompetitive and monopolistic practices after refusing to sign up to the new Cup Series charter agreement the month prior.
Following that, a 14-month legal battle ensued, with NASCAR and the teams going back and forth on several issues in court, but unable to reach any sort of settlement.
As such, the case went to trial on December 1; however, on day nine of the trial in Charlotte, North Carolina, an agreement between all parties has now been reached.
