NASCAR Cup Series star Bubba Wallace has revealed that F1 legend Lewis Hamilton would be his dream helmet swap.

Hamilton is a motorsports legend and one of the best to ever do it in F1, winning 105 races so far in an illustrious career that has seen him claim a record-equaling seven world championships.

Wallace is yet to reach those heights in NASCAR, but his success in his career is nothing to be sniffed at in what is a very competitive Cup Series field.

So far, Wallace has 301 Cup Series races under his belt, with three victories and 29 finishes inside the top five, with his 23XI team on an upward trajectory.

Bubba Wallace makes Lewis Hamilton reveal

Now, Wallace has revealed that he'd like to one day swap helmets with the F1 legend in a wide-ranging Q&A with The Athletic's Jeff Gluck, as well as the fact that he wants to make it to a grand prix soon.

"Lewis Hamilton," Wallace replied when asked if he could get any driver's helmet in motorsports history, who he'd choose.

"I haven’t reached out," he continued. "I need to get to an F1 race, but schedules are crazy. "Vegas [Grand Prix] would work, but I don’t want to travel back out west after just finishing [the season].

"I’ve traded with Scotty [Scott McLaughlin], traded with [Ryan] Blaney, so this is a new thing for me.

"I want to trade with Jimmie [Johnson], we talked about it. But other than that, I’m good. I like my helmets."

Wallace is next up in NASCAR action this Sunday in Texas at 3:30 p.m. ET. That does clash with F1's Miami Grand Prix, which starts at 4 p.m. ET, though, so he might have to make do with the highlights on this occasion.
