It was a rare off-weekend for the NASCAR Cup Series stars over Easter, and it seems Joe Gibbs Racing star Denny Hamlin enjoyed the opportunity to spend some time away from the race track.
The Cup Series schedule is long and grueling, with 36 races (not including the Clash and All-Star Race) and only two weekends off throughout the season, one of which is now in the books.
NASCAR fans were still able to get their racing fix on Friday and Saturday, with the Truck and O'Reilly Auto Parts Series in action at Rockingham Speedway, but some, like Hamlin's podcast producer, Travis Rockhold (yes, the same Travis Rockhold that recently caused a huge debate with a controversial Hall of Fame take), were missing themselves some Cup action.
Denny Hamlin shuts down Cup Series suggestion
Taking to X on Sunday afternoon, Rockhold suggested that the Cup Series should actually race on Easter, writing: "Right now would be a perfect time for a Cup race."
However, Hamlin clearly didn't take kindly to the idea of having to spend his Easter weekend at the race track, savagely replying to Rockhold: "Stfu."

In response to another user, Rockhold explained his logic, calling for the sport to be more strategic as to when they take their break.
"Next weekend or next one or the one after that [when NASCAR should have a weekend off]," he replied to one X user. "Look at the sports calendar and be strategic.
"Next weekend, you know CBS has the final round of The Masters. You know it’s going to steal lots of eyeballs."

When is the next NASCAR Cup Series race?
Fortunately for Rockhold and others who are missing Cup Series action, they only have to wait until next weekend for another race.
The Cup Series season continues next Sunday (April 12) at the iconic Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.
The Food City 500 will see 500 laps around the 0.533-mile short track that is steeped in NASCAR history, with the drivers set to cover 266.5 miles throughout the race.
The Truck and O'Reilly Auto Parts Series will also be in action at Bristol Motor Speedway, with Truck action on Friday followed by O'Reilly Series racing on Saturday.
