The 2026 NASCAR In-Season Challenge kicked off at Sonoma Raceway on Sunday, with 16 drivers now having been eliminated from the $1 million competition.
Among those 16 drivers, some of the biggest names to fall were 23XI Racing stars Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace.
Reddick and Wallace were matched up against Alex Bowman and Michael McDowell, respectively, at Sonoma, but neither driver was able to get the better of their competition. Reddick finished 36th compared to Bowman's 10th place, while Wallace's 22nd was not enough to beat McDowell's 9th.

NASCAR In-Season Challenge Round 2
Following the above eliminations, the In-Season Challenge continues at Chicagoland Speedway this Sunday, and there are some really exciting matchups to look forward to.
Round 2 sees a Hendrick Motorsports head-to-head between Kyle Larson and William Byron, for example, as well as a matchup between Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Chase Briscoe and Ty Gibbs.
