NASCAR has confirmed that a memorial service for the late great Kyle Busch will take place later this year at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The two-time Cup Series champion sadly lost his life on May 21st this year after suffering complications as a result of pneumonia which developed into sepsis.
In the days following Busch's death, NASCAR and the entire Cup Series paid tribute to Busch ahead of the Coca-Cola 600, which included posts on social media, a moments silence pre-race, and a missing man formation ahead of the green flag.

While it was a somber day and an incredibly tough one for the sport, NASCAR now wants to celebrate Busch's life and legacy when it returns to Charlotte this October.
As such, NASCAR has confirmed that a public memorial service paying tribute to Busch and celebrating his achievements in the sport will take place on Friday, October 9th, following the conclusion of the Truck Series race that day.
NASCAR has confirmed that the service will be open to the public and free to attend, "providing fans, members of the motorsports industry, friends and loved ones an opportunity to come together in remembrance and tribute to one of racing’s most influential and accomplished competitors."
Further details regarding the service, including speakers, are set to be announced in the coming days and weeks as NASCAR finalizes its plans.
