It's set to be an emotional weekend in Charlotte, with the NASCAR community is still reeling from the shock of Kyle Busch's sudden death.
Busch was set to be racing in the No. 8 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing this weekend, but was announced dead on Thursday at the age of 41. Oval Insider sends our deepest sympathies to Samantha, Brexton, Lennix and the wider Busch family at this difficult time.
Despite the tragedy, NASCAR is continuing with this weekend's event as planned, and first up, it's practice and qualifying on Saturday afternoon.
UPDATE: Qualifying at Charlotte has been canceled due to the weather. NASCAR will try to hold a combined practice session when/if the track is ready.
