NASCAR RESULTS: Live Cup Series Talladega coverage including stage winners and points
Heading into the race, one of the big talking points is NASCAR's decision to mix up the stage lengths. Having initially been planned to be 60 laps in stages one and two, with a 68-lap stage three, today's race will instead consist of 98 laps in stage one, followed by 45-lap stages in two and three. NASCAR hopes this will create more exciting racing, and less fuel saving.
Last year at Talladega, it was Team Penske star Austin Cindric who took the victory, beating Kyle Larson and William Byron to the black and white checkered flag on that occasion.
Then, when the Cup Series returned to Talladega later in the year, it was Chase Briscoe who emerged victorious, with the No. 19 edging Todd Gilliland and Ty Gibbs.
We can't wait to see who comes out on top this time around, and with that said, let's get into the all-important timing details below!
