The NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race takes place at Dover Motor Speedway this weekend, but Carson Hocevar believes it would be cool if it were held elsewhere.
The All-Star Race has been around since 1985 and has been hosted at a range of different tracks over the years. This includes Charlotte Motor Speedway (1985, 1987-2019), Atlanta Motor Speedway (1986), Bristol Motor Speedway (2020), Texas Motor Speedway (2021-2022) and North Wilkesboro Speedway (2023-2025).
For 2026, the switch has been made to head to Dover, with an all-new format having also been introduced for this year's edition of the event.

Carson Hocevar on dream All-Star Race location
Speaking to the media ahead of this weekend's action, Hocevar was quizzed on those changes and asked if there was any particular place he'd like to see the All-Star Race head next.
“Bowman Gray would be really fun," the Spire Motorsports star explained. "I think that'd be super cool for the All-Star Race.
"It'd be a little warmer, too, than the Clash [exhibition in February]. But that'd be my vote of places that doesn't have a points race right now."
Carson Hocevar unsure on All-Star Race format
While he had a clear answer on the track, Hocevar continued, admitting that he is unsure about the best format for the event.
"I don't know the best format. I am going to miss the fact that the Open doesn't really exist right now, just for the fact of I was excited to watch it and not be in it," he continued.
"I've been in it the last two years, and I was like, man, I get the satisfaction of being able to watch the Open. And I'm like, dang it, I don't even get that satisfaction of being an All-Star… they're going to be racing with me.
"But it'll feel good when those cars get eliminated at least, and we get to stay out there. But it's something different. I think it would be kind of funny -- joked about it, of something like an Australian pursuit-style, where you take qualifying, flip it backwards, invert the whole field, and if you get passed, you're done.
"We did that at Kalamazoo Speedway, and it was maybe one of the most fun races I've watched."
After discussing how that change might play out, Hocevar concluded: "It would probably be making it more complicated for the fans, which we don't obviously want to do.
"But I think it'd be very interesting. I know the Stoops Pursuit at the BC39 was maybe one of the greatest races we've ever seen and they used that format.”
Sunday's All-Star Race kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on FS1, with Hocevar lining up in 24th position for the green flag.
