Few sayings have been dragged kicking and screaming out of their homes and forcibly dissected, rearranged and sewn back up more than 'four legs good, two legs bad'.

The phrase originated as a slogan in George Orwell's Animal Farm, in which a sheep uses it to campaign against the titular farm's pigs beginning to walk to two legs like humans.

That, by the end of the book, became 'four legs good, two legs better'. Hopefully your middle school English teacher explained all the underlying symbolism in that, so that we don't have to.

Anyway, the bastardization didn't end once the book had been published. 'Four wheels good, two wheels better' has become a common refrain in the last few decades. And that is where we start to get to the point.

Van Gisbergen shows off extra talents

Four wheels good, two wheels better. That might not be exactly what NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year Shane van Gisbergen was saying with his social media posts last week, but...

The Kiwi, who won five races in his full-time rookie year in 2025 after being identified as a road course specialist who could also hold his own on ovals, has been showing off his ability to master anything with wheels and a motor.

In a clip posted to his Twitter account, the three-time Supercars champion was hooning around a dirt bike track on two wheels, getting serious air while enjoying his off-season.

"Good to get back on a moto after a couple of years," he said in the post's caption. "Pretty rusty but awesome fun."

Van Gisbergen also took a moment to slap down someone who replied to his post with the comment 'If u broke both ur legs and tore ur both acls who would be in ur car for Daytona?', replying simply 'I bet you’re fun at parties'.
