NASCAR has released the post-race penalty report following last weekend's event at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and it includes an indefinite suspension for a 23XI Racing team member.
As per NASCAR's report, Evanna Howell has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR under Section 4.4A of the rule book. According to her LinkedIn profile, Howell is a senior account manager at 23XI Racing and has worked with the team since 2021.
According to a report from WCNC, Howell was arrested on Saturday after being accused of intentionally hitting a 77-year-old man with a golf cart at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
According to the report, after the incident, Howell was arrested and charged with 'Assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury' and she can be seen wearing 23XI Racing team apparel in her Cabarrus County mugshot.
Howell is yet to be found guilty of that charge, though, and remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Oval Insider has contacted 23XI Racing for comment.
