Hendrick Motorsports Profile, News and Results

Hendrick Motorsports
Name Hendrick Motorsports
Founded 1984
Location Concord, North Carolina
Hendrick Motorsports is a NASCAR behemoth which was launched in 1984 by owner Rick Hendrick. It also has legendary driver Jeff Gordon as Vice-Chairman.

Since that launch, the Hendrick name has struck fear into Cup Series rivals, claiming 15 championships with Kyle Larson being the latest to raise the banner in 2025.

Hendrick fielded four fulltime Cup Series drivers in 2025, led by Larson in the No. 5 Chevrolet. He raced alongside Chase Elliott (No. 9 car), William Byron (No. 24) and Alex Bowman (No. 48).

The 2024 postseason saw Larson, Elliott and Byron all involved, with Larson and Byron both progressing to the final Championship-4.

Larson has some way to go before he matches the achievements of Vice-Chairman Gordon, who claimed four NASCAR Cup Series championships racing under the Hendrick banner.

Recent years in Cup Series history have effectively been Hendrick vs Team Penske, with those two teams responsible for the last six champions.
