As the NASCAR antitrust lawsuit involving two of its teams lingers on, Joe Gibbs Racing star Denny Hamlin has called out the stock car racing series on social media.
Alongside his racing duties in the Cup Series with JGR, Hamlin is a co-owner of 23XI Racing alongside NBA icon Michael Jordan - one of the two teams currently suing the sport for anticompetitive and monopolistic practices.
23XI and Front Row Motorsports filed the lawsuit last October after refusing to sign up to the latest Cup Series charter agreement.
The case finally hit court on December 1st, with Thursday set to be day nine of the trial in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Unfortunately for Hamlin, on day one of the trial, he was barred from being in attendance, with only one representative from 23XI - which is Michael Jordan in this case - allowed to be in the courtroom at any time.
This meant that after giving his testimony as a witness, Hamlin had to leave the courtroom. Hamlin was advised by his lawyers to remain silent throughout, but instead, the 23XI co-owner has been taking to social media from time to time to comment on matters regarding the case.
In his latest tweet on Wednesday night, Hamlin called out NASCAR for using disingenuous information in their defense.
The Athletic's Jeff Gluck and Jordan Bianchi had posted a clip from their podcast, which provides an update on the trial at the end of each day.
In this clip, Gluck said: "So they get all the team's data for how much they're ordering on parts and they find that the three highest spending teams - the three teams that had ordered the most parts - all had less than 10 wins.
"He was very happy about this because he was worried that their chart would show the more you buy parts and spend on the next-gen car, the more you win.
"But in fact they find that's not the case. 23XI was one of those three highest spending teams. In 2024, they spent $2.23 million on their parts for the next-gen car, or that's how much they ordered, apparently, and Front Row that year spent $1.7 million."
Hamlin was quick to call out the figures used here, however, stating that they were only based on two cars, whereas 23XI had to buy parts for three cars full-time, and at times, even four.
"Umm, we were going to 3 cars in 2025," he replied to the above video on X.
"We had to buy cars and parts for 3 entries (4 entries some weeks) and data they provided was based on 2. More disingenuous information.
