For most drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series, the Daytona 500 is the absolute pinnacle - but not for Chase Briscoe.

Instead, for Briscoe, a Mitchell, Indiana native, the race victory that he really covets is the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The track is located just 89 miles and an hour and a half from where he was born, and so far in his career, he is yet to win a Cup Series race there. The JGR star did take pole there in 2025, but he ultimately came home in 18th - his best finish in three attempts on the oval layout.

Briscoe did win at Indianapolis in the O'Reilly (then Xfinity) Series on the road course in 2020, but with it being during the pandemic, he didn't have his family and friends in the crowd to celebrate with him.

Chase Briscoe: Brickyard 400 win would mean everything

Speaking to the media at the track this weekend, Briscoe opened up on just how special a home victory would be to him, revealing that he ranks the Brickyard 400 at the top of all Cup Series races and that he'd give all his wins up for one on Sunday.

“It would mean everything. I would put this race over the Daytona 500 or any other race," Briscoe explained at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

"If there is one race – you could take away every other win that I’ve had in my career away – if I could just have one Brickyard 400, I would be happy and content.

"This is the one race I want to win more than any other. I’ve put a ton of pressure on myself to come here and try to win. Every time you don’t win that’s one less opportunity.

"You don’t really have a ton, when you think about the big scheme of things. You only get to run here maybe 15 times in your career, so to try to win one is pretty difficult to do. It would mean a lot.

"I was able to win here in 2020 in Xfinity, but it was during COVID. What makes Indy so special is all of my family and friends being here and fans, and I didn’t get to experience that with any of them. It was just completely empty.

"Hopefully, I can win this weekend or at least at some point in my career. It would be the highlight of my career for sure.”

Briscoe's shot at the Brickyard 400 this time around gets underway at 2 p.m. ET, with the action set to be broadcast live on TNT Sports.
