A racing team has confirmed exciting plans to race full-time in NASCAR next season.

According to an official press release, Hettinger Racing will enter the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2026, with a full-time schedule planned, starting at Daytona in February.

Hettinger Racing was formed in 2024 after acquiring the assets of the defunct Truck Series outfit Bret Holmes Racing, with the team making its first NASCAR appearances in the last two races of the Truck Series season that year at Martinsville and Phoenix.

In 2025, the team entered the opening race of the season at Daytona, but that was the last time Hettinger Racing competed in a NASCAR race. That is a fact that will now soon change.

“The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series has incredible momentum. It features great racing and the series gets significant exposure thanks to coverage from The CW."

Hettinger concluded: “We’re entering the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series with a solid foundation, strong technical partners and a clear understanding of what it takes to be competitive."

Elsewhere in the statement, several other details were revealed, such as the fact that Hettinger Racing has secured the services of veteran crew chief Joe Williams Jr.

Not only that, but it has also been confirmed that Roush Yates Engines will be the team’s engine supplier for next season.

“I’ve been impressed by what Chris Hettinger has already built, and Roush Yates Engines is proud to be a part of Hettinger Racing’s future growth,” said Doug Yates, President and CEO of Roush Yates Engines.

“Chris is a racer and a very good businessman who is taking a smart and methodical approach to 2026.
