NASCAR legend Kyle Busch is $302,000 richer after he and his wife Samantha sold two classic cars at auction over the weekend.
The auction took place in Palm Beach, Florida, ahead of Sunday's Cup Series action from Kansas Speedway, and although that race proved to be miserable for the two-time champion, he would have been happy on Friday.
Up for sale was Kyle Busch's 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom Coupe in a twilight turquoise and white color, "powered by an LS1 V-8 engine mated to a 4L60E automatic transmission and a 9-inch Ford rear end with 4.11 gears and a limited-slip differential," according to Barrett-Jackson.
Meanwhile, Samantha Busch's 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible in dusk rose (we're calling it pink), "powered by a rebuilt 312ci V-8 engine producing 240hp, paired with an automatic transmission," also went under the hammer.

Kyle Busch cars fetch $302K at auction
In the end, the Buschs parted ways with both vehicles, which fetched a combined total of $302,500.
First up, Kyle Busch's Chevrolet Bel Air fetched a handsome $143,000, with Samantha Busch's Ford Thunderbird selling for $159,500.
It was an emotional sale for the family, though, having announced the births of their son, Brexton, and daughter, Lennix, in the cars.
Ahead of the auction, Busch told veteran broadcaster Mike Joy on the Barrett Jackson Instagram page: "So yeah, lot number 456 and 457. I've got a beautiful turquoise Bel Air, Chevrolet Bel Air that we're getting rid of, and it's been really, really neat for our family because we announced both of the birth of our kids in each of the cars, and so that was really fun, and the kids have gone for rides in these cars around.
"It's always been fun to just kind of have cool cars around our collection over the years, but it's time [to let them go].
"The collection's grown a little bit - we need a little bit of free space so these two are ready for the block. So coming back to Barrett Jackson to see how they do today."
