Given the serious nature of the NASCAR news of late, with lawsuit revelations galore, sometimes it's good to touch on lighter topics.

And, thanks to Hendrick Motorsports, today we're talking all about paint schemes heading into 2026.

The team has slowly been revealing the schemes that the likes of Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott will be running on track next season via their website and social channels, and now, it's William Byron's turn.

As per an agreement signed in 2023, Byron is set to run with HP as a primary sponsor at two races next year, and now, the paint scheme that will be on the No. 24 Chevrolet for those select races, which are yet to be confirmed, has been revealed.

Hendrick Motorsports criticised after Byron reveal

The scheme features a predominantly white base, with a blue, bold HP logo on the hood. Aside from that, there is a smaller HP logo on the side, with two blue diagonal stripes and Byron's stylized No. 24 also featuring.

It has to be said, however, it is a very minimalistic look, and this is something that has drawn criticism from some NASCAR fans.

For example, one X user replied to Hendrick Motorsports' post: "As someone that loves a simple white scheme I really want to like this. But that completely blank quarter panel is not working for me."

"HP must be paying a fortune to keep the car completely blank lol," another X user wrote.

"This is so unbelievably boring," another X user added. "Why so much empty unused space?"

Another X user joked: "Okay, I see the blank white template, when are you uploading the real paint scheme?"

Whilst the vast majority of comments felt the design was lacking and somewhat dull, there was the odd fan who appreciated the simplicity of it.

"Am I the only one that likes nice clean and bold designs?" one X user wrote, for example.

Fortunately for those who are not keen, they will only have to see it at two races next season!
