Class is permanent they say, and that appears to be the case with Denny Hamlin closing in on favorite Tyler Reddick at the head of the odds to win the 2026 NASCAR Cup Championship Series.

The 45-year-old Hamlin came desperately close to finally ending that long wait for a title in 2025, losing out to Kyle Larson on the final laps of an agonizing finale in Phoenix.

Denny is back for more in 2026 and the Joe Gibbs Racing star is now just 129 points behind 23XI Racing star Reddick at the head of the standings. It is even closer in the moneyline odds with Tyler trading at +400 and Hamlin a whisker behind at +475.

Another great of the sport, reigning champion Larson, comes next on +700 as he sits in eighth place in the early-season standings. Former champ Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott are next on +800 with William Byron and Christopher Bell both on +900.

Ty Gibbs (+2500) plus new sensation Carson Hocevar and Chris Buescher (both +4500) complete the top 10 as we head to this weekend’s All Star race at Dover.

For the long-suffering Kyle Busch fans out there, the two-time Cup Series king is a distant +20000 shot as his long wait for another race win stretches into three figures.
