NASCAR officials had a fairly easy day at COTA on Sunday, with only one caution for cause all afternoon.

Of course, that didn't stop them handing out a handful of penalties over the course of the 95-lap race. Rules guys never sleep.

Most of those penalties were pit road related – your garden variety 'speeding on pit road' and 'pitting before pit road is open', although we did get a funny moment out of one of the former.

NASCAR flagged Ryan Preece for speeding in 'too many sections to name' per Kelly Crandall, with Preece responding to the radio call: "There's no way! Oh, I did. Sh*t."

Above all of the pit road shenanigans, the most severe penalty of the bunch was given to Ross Chastain after his No. 1 car prompted the first and only for-cause caution of the day. The Trackhouse man's right rear wheel came off his car on track, resulting in a two-lap penalty and further sanctions down the line.

Here's the full rundown of penalties doled out on Sunday...
