Tyler Reddick says it is 'truly incredible' to match NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt following his win at Kansas Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

After coming out on top in overtime, Reddick put his No. 45 Toyota in victory lane for the fifth time this season, a remarkable statistic given that we are just nine races into the new Cup Series season.

In doing so, Reddick became the first driver to win five of the opening nine races since Earnhardt in 1987, and speaking post-race, he sounded pretty honored by that.

"I heard that earlier," Reddick said in his winners' press conference when asked about the statistic.

"Yeah, I mean, that’s a guy on the Mount Rushmore of NASCAR drivers. To be able to accomplish things that someone like him did is truly incredible.

"But none of it’s possible without the good men and women at 23XI. The ones that travel, the one back at Airspeed."

Reddick continues to dominate Cup Series standings

Following his victory, Reddick has extended his already commanding lead at the top of the Cup Series standings.

The 23XI star now leads Denny Hamlin in second place by 105 points heading into next weekend's race at Talladega Superspeedway.

Reddick has been on top since the opening race of the season when he won the Daytona 500, and with the pace both he and 23XI have shown so far this year, he isn't giving up that spot any time soon.
