23XI Racing star Bubba Wallace has revealed that one NASCAR veteran still messages him with advice despite having retired from the sport.
Wallace has been at 23XI Racing since the team was founded in 2020, and in his first season in 2021, he had no teammate.
However, that all changed in 2022, with Kurt Busch having been hired to race alongside Wallace in the No. 45.
It appears the pair struck up a great relationship in their time working together, with Wallace having been present as Busch was inducted into the Hall of Fame in Charlotte on Friday night.

Bubba Wallace: Kurt Busch still sends me advice
Ahead of the ceremony, Wallace was asked about his relationship with Busch during an interview, in which he revealed that the former Cup Series champion is still on hand to offer him guidance to this day.
“He’s always, even to this day, still sending motivational stuff to look at and understand how to navigate through certain race weekends,” Wallace told NASCAR.com.
“I think looking at things from a bigger picture and maybe a different perspective is Kurt’s philosophy, and just kind of looking at it from all angles and not just one side.”
Busch's actions are deliberate, and he says that during the latter stages of his career, he was simply trying to do for others what the likes of Mark Martin and Jeff Burton had done for him.
“The second half of my career and being a little bit older and more experienced, usually at that time, my teammates were getting younger,” Busch explained.
“And so it was cool because that’s what Mark Martin and Jeff Burton did for me when I was first starting out at Roush.
"And so you feel that moment of giving back and helping, and if you can make them better, they’re going to make you better.”
