NASCAR Cup Series star Shane van Gisbergen has shut down conspiracy theories regarding Michael Jordan and his 23XI Racing team being gifted race victories.

The team has had a red-hot start to the 2026 season, with Tyler Reddick winning the opening three races at the Daytona 500, Atlanta, and Circuit of the Americas, and Jordan himself having been a noticeably more visible presence in the garage.

That success and Jordan talking to the media more have led to some outrageous suggestions from those with their tin foil hats on that NASCAR is somehow manipulating races in 23XI's favor.

Of course, this all comes after Jordan and the team settled their antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR back in December after a 14-month legal battle.

Trackhouse Racing star van Gisbergen has now offered his verdict on that suggestion, stating that those who think that must be on 'good drugs'.

“Yeah, people are on good drugs to come up with that stuff,” van Gisbergen replied, unequivocally shutting down the conspiracy theorists on the Rubbin is Racing podcast

“I think it's just great performances. He [Reddick] puts himself in good spots, and even in Atlanta, he had a pretty busted-up car and still came through.

“And it’s not just Tyler. Bubba’s [Wallace] up there most weeks as well, [and] driving well, so the team is just in a good spot at the moment and they’re executing.

“We all just have to work harder and try and do better, but I like to think that none of that stuff happens in our sport.”
