A NASCAR team has announced the addition of two drivers just days ahead of the 2026 season-opening race at Daytona.

All three of the Cup, O'Reilly Auto Parts and Truck Series will be in action at Daytona International Speedway in the coming days, and for one team, it's been a whirlwind few weeks.

At the end of last season, a press release revealed that Sigma Performance Services Racing (SPS Racing) had acquired NASCAR and ARCA outfit AM Racing, uniting the two organizations under one banner with the backing of Ford Racing.

However, AM Racing released a statement late last month confirming that the deal had fallen through and that they would, in fact, be racing in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series this season.

Having had just a couple of weeks to land a driver for the year, the team has now revealed both a full-time and a part-time addition.

AM Racing signs Nick Sanchez and Daniel Dye

Nick Sanchez will be the man to drive their No. 25 Ford Mustang Dark Horse full-time, according to the team.

"AM Racing is excited to announce the signing of rising phenom Nick Sanchez as the driver of the team’s No. 25 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series," the team's statement read.

Sanchez has one full season in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series under his belt having been at Big Machine Racing last year before being abruptly let go at the end of the campaign.

Prior to that, the Florida native competed for Rev Racing in the Truck Series, with Sanchez's national NASCAR series record across the two divisions standing at 88 races, three victories, 20 top 5s, and 39 top 10s.

Daniel Dye lands part-time drive

On top of Sanchez's full-time arrival, AM Racing has also confirmed that Daniel Dye will drive for the team on a part-time basis in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series this season.

Dye will pilot the team's No. 52 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for a select number of races this season, starting at Daytona this week.

Like Sanchez, the 22-year-old also raced full-time in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series last season, and will add his AM Racing duties to those at Kaulig Racing, where he will compete full-time in the Truck Series this year as they embark on their new relationship with Ram.
