The 2026 NASCAR season officially begins with the Daytona 500 this week, and what better way to start things off than by claiming a Guinness World Record.

Well, that's exactly what NASCAR did in New York City on Wednesday, breaking the record for the 'World’s Loudest Billboard' in none other than Times Square.

The record attempt came amid NASCAR's 2026 brand refresh, 'Hell Yeah', with the billboard in question featuring the slogan, as well as a true-to-size NASCAR next-gen engine that was built in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

“Setting a Guinness World Records title is a proud moment for our sport and serves as a bold statement to get the 2026 season started,” said Tim Clark, NASCAR’s Chief Brand Officer.

“The billboard puts the visceral energy of NASCAR front and center and invites everyone to experience what makes our sport so unique.”
